To get the most bang for your buck, look for the Lampadati Felon GT or Ubermacht Sentinel when driving around. The Nightclub, in particular, is a waste as without engaging in frequent support missions, it barely makes any money. It is only profitable if you are constantly supporting it and this is without taking into consideration the upfront cost.

The Arcade can provide a profit eventually, so long as you don’t spend much on the building or machines within. The cheapest Arcade at Paleto Bay costs about $1.2 million. When filled with the cheapest machines, it generates $5,000 per in-game day.

The Arcade will become profitable after 240 in-game days, or 192 hours in the real world. This is a lengthy amount of time to play before seeing a return on investment, but thankfully the Arcade can be accessed through the Diamond Casino heist. If you’re looking for a passive income source, buy an Arcade instead of a Nightclub. Just remember to stop by occasionally to empty the safe.

8. Heists

Potential profits: $400k per hour

Heists are a great way to make money, especially the Pacific Standard Heist, if you have friends with high-end apartments. Make sure you’re all at a high enough skill level to complete missions efficiently to increase your earnings.

The Doomsday Heists may be a good option if there are only two or three players, but require a higher initial cost as a more expensive facility must be bought to start them. 9. Special & Vehicle Cargo

These two methods have the potential to net the solo player a high return on investment. If you want to convert supplies into a product to sell at a profit, it is often best to buy the supplies, as this saves time. However, be careful not to let the stock grow too much, as this will require multiple people to sell the product.

12. Time Trials

Potential profits: $50k per hour

Completing free-roam races against the clock can be a lucrative activity if you are skilled at them. Similar to VIP work, a new time trial will be available each week that you can complete in between other money-making activities. You will receive a one-time payout of $50,000 for a few minutes of driving. While some time trials can be difficult, looking up guides online for the active time trial each week can be helpful. However, once you spend more than 10 minutes trying to complete a time trial, your profit margins will decrease and it would have been more beneficial to use your time in another manner.

Air Freight Cargo is a less profitable version of Special Cargo, while Nightclubs are a less profitable version of Gunrunning. It is better, from a purely money making perspective, to not invest in these businesses and instead focus on what has already been mentioned.
