Top 10 Yu-Gi-Oh Booster Boxes: Reviews and Buying Guide
Buying a Yu-Gi-Oh booster box can be frustrating if you don’t get any good cards. There are many different booster boxes on the market, and it takes some time to find one with good cards.
We have researched the best booster boxes available to help you get your money back. Each set has a variety of valuable cards, so you can choose the one that is best for you.
We purposely left out the original booster boxes on purpose because they are very expensive! All of our decisions were based on current Yu-Gi-Oh card prices which can be found here. Due to price fluctuations, we did not list the market value of each card.
In this guide to the best Yu-Gi-Oh booster boxes, we’ll show you the best boosters on the market for your budget and provide some advice when it comes time to choose. Let’s get started!
1- Legendary Duelists: Immortal Destiny
The Legendary Duelists: Immortal Destiny is a great set. In it, you can find Evil HERO Malicious Bane, which is a valuable card in the series. There are also many other valuable cards in the set, so be sure to look for them all!
This set features five new cards that can be used in duels, including a Field Spell that lets you summon Evil HERO monsters using other cards than the Dark Fusion card.
The set contains cards that help make it easier to summon the Sun and Moon Dragons.
Each booster pack in this set contains five cards. There are a total of 36 booster packs per box.
What we like
- This Evil HERO Malicious Bane figure comes in a box of 36 packs. It is a great addition to any toy collection, and would make an excellent gift for any child or fan of the Evil HERO line!
What we don’t like
- 5 card packs
2- Battle of Legend: Hero’s Revenge
The Battle of Legend: Hero’s Revenge is a great game to play, and we recommend it as our top pick in this list. This set includes an awesome Black Luster Soldier – Soldier of Chaos Link monster, which is highly sought after and valuable.
This set includes 93 cards with foil treatment, which introduces a host of new Link monsters to the game. Black Luster Soldier, PSY-Frames, and Traptrix are just a few of the many new monsters that can be found in this set.
This set also includes a new card, Number 93: Utopia Kaiser, which was originally only available to those who reached the top of competitions. There are also more Vision HERO monsters included in this series like Hero Vyon.
Each 5-card pack in a box of Pokémon Trading Card Game cards contains four Ultra Rares and one Secret Rare.
What we like
- Introducing Black Luster Soldier – Soldier of Chaos, a new foil card that allows Duelists to Summon powerful new monsters! Each pack contains two copies of this rare monster, so be sure to get your hands on them before they’re gone!
What we don’t like
- 24 pack box
3- Savage Strike
One of the most expensive cards in the current set of Savage Strike booster boxes is Fantastical Dragon Phantazmay.
The Fantastical Dragon is one of the most sought after cards in the game, so it’s also pretty expensive compared to other booster boxes that have cards that are worth a little less. The reason this isn’t our top pick is because the price of the Fantastical Dragon doesn’t offset the price of the booster box itself, making it not a good buy if you’re looking to get your money back.
This is the first 100-card booster set in 2019, and it has several goals in mind. One of these goals is to help add more balance to the game by introducing new Synchro Summoning strategies.
The Savage Strike booster set contains 100 cards, 9 cards per pack and 24 packs per box.
What we like
- There are new cards in the upcoming Synchro set that will help players Summon and use Synchros more effectively.
What we don’t like
- High price point
4- Rising Rampage
Apollousa is the star card in Rising Rampage, but there are other cards in the set that are also worth picking up. This makes Rising Rampage a good choice for players who want to break-even or even exceed their initial investment.
The new set for 2019-2020 includes new basic monsters with abilities that support Link Monsters and spell-caster cards. Cards like Witchcrafter Golem Aururu can give spell-caster decks a nice boost.
This set includes a new weapon for your extra deck which is the featured card in this set up. The Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess is a powerful weapon that can be used to devastating effect.
Each Rising Rampage booster box contains 24 packs of 9 cards, each pack containing 1 card.
What we like
- The newest expansion for the trading card game Pokémon Trading Card Game lets players use cards to support Link Monsters and Spell-Casters.
What we don’t like
- Money card is a weapon and not a monster
5- Chaos Impact
The Chaos Impact set includes I:P Masquerena, which is the card we are most interested in finding. There are other valuable cards included in this box, but it wasn’t among our top recommendations.
This set includes a range of new Gladiator Beasts to help beef up the archetypes, as well as a brand-new Fusion that can negates all monster effects. The first playable Link-5 Monster was also released in this set.
Each booster box of Magic: The Gathering contains 24 packs of nine cards, with one card from each pack being randomly selected and placed into the player’s deck.
What we like
- The new Gladiator Beast monsters come with a decent price tag, making them an affordable option for any deck.
What we don’t like
- Falls a little short on money cards compared to other sets
6- Crossed Souls
The Crossed Souls set focuses on the Madolche Puddingcess Chocolat-a-la-Mode card. This card is most important to make the most money back in the set.
The Zefra Monster is a new type of monster that can be added to any of the five different Zefra decks. This card has the potential to create new combos and synergies that can help you win more games.
Zefra monsters can use new spell cards that were specifically designed for them.
What we like
- Good price
- Zefra monsters
What we don’t like
- Needs more valuable cards
7- Legendary Duelists: Ancient Millennium
Ancient Gear Fusion is a valuable card in the Ancient Millennium set. It can be used to Fusion Summon an Ancient Gear Fusion Monster from your extra deck, either by using your hand or on the field. Due to its high price point, it’s not very profitable to use this card, even though it has great potential.
The new Parasite card and upgraded Cocoon of Evolution make this set an interesting addition to Pegasus’s collection. There are also a few upgrades to Pegasus’s cards like Thousand-Eyes Restrict and Illusionist Faceless mage.
Ancient Millennium also introduces a new model that can eliminate up to three cards per turn, if you are lucky enough. You can increase your coin toss luck by using cards that can change all your tosses to “heads” when you use an effect that requires 2 or more coin tosses.
This set contains 36 packs per box.
What we like
- Buffering the data from Pegasus’s cards will help to reduce the lag time and improve the gaming experience for all players.
What we don’t like
- Very high price point
8- Battles of Legend: Relentless Revenge
In the Battles of Legend: Relentless Revenge booster set, we are searching for valuable spells like Cyber Emergency. This card is one of many other expensive cards you have a chance at getting in this set.
Relentless Revenge is a set that features cards from the Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series, including an iconic monster, Sandaion. This set is unique because it combines cards that many people requested and makes them into powerful attacks and defenses.
This set contains 24 booster packs of five cards each.
What we like
- The Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series features some of the most iconic monsters from the card game. These creatures often appear in popular culture, and have a large following among fans of the game.
What we don’t like
- A little Pricey
9- Soul Fusion
The Chaos Fusion set is focused on pulling the Chaos Dragon Levianeer. It is a powerful monster that can be used well in many decks.
This set features cards from the popular animated series, coming to life. The most iconic monster in this set is the Cyberse Clock Dragon. This dragon can clear 10,000 Attack if you choose the correct fusion materials.
This set of 24 packs includes 9 cards per pack.
What we like
- There are new monsters from the animated series that are very strong and valuable.
What we don’t like
- Booster sets typically cost more than normal booster sets. This higher price may be due to the increased quality of the components.
10- Mystic Fighters
If you’re looking for a set that will challenge and engage your imagination, then Kitchen Dragonmaid is what you need to be shooting for.
Mathematical operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division can inflict damage on your opponent. Additionally, Generaider Bosses can be added to the dungeon for even more fun!
This set includes 24 packs per box with five cards per pack.
What we like
- The first strategy is to use the Generaider Bosses to your advantage.
- The second strategy is to avoid using the Generaider Bosses.
- The third strategy is to use a combination of the two previous strategies.
What we don’t like
- High price fluctuations
