All of the main characters from the films will return for the new series, including Morris Chestnut, Melissa De Sousa, Taye Diggs, Regina Hall, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long and Harold Perrineau. Monica Calhoun’s character Mia died in The Best Man: Holiday.
According to Peacock’s official press description of the show, “The series will catch up with Harper, Robyn, Jordan, Lance, Quentin, Shelby, Candace and Murch as their relationships evolve and past grievances resurface in the unpredictable stages of midlife crisis meets midlife renaissance.”

Malcolm D. Lee, director and star of the original Best Man films, has teamed up with Peacock to produce a reboot of the popular franchise. The new film will feature a all-new cast and be directed by North.
Love affairs involving Morris Chestnut in “The Best Man: The Final Chapters”
In an interview with TMZ, Chestnut revealed what a lot of fans have been wondering about: will Lance have a new love interest now that Mia is gone?
He said that the show will explore what Lance was going through after Mia’s death. The last time we saw him, he was emotional and it ended there. We never really saw how Lance dealt with the loss. I think in the series you’ll see how Lance deals with emotional issues – sometimes he goes too far. You’ll have to see for yourself.
According to Chestnut, Lance is likely to find a new love in the series given what has happened.
He explained that it’s a possibility that someone else will be able to replace Mia. There is always the possibility that someone new will catch his attention.
